This rustic six bedroom finca in Guatape sleeps 17 and
features majestic lakeside
views in the midst of some of the
most spectacular country side scenery you could imagine.
It is one of the original
fincas in Guatape and El Peñol with
years of use as a campground. For many years it was
called "El Campin" or "The
Camp".it looks out to the famuos giant
rock known as Piedra El Peñol, thus the name of mirador
del penol. it has been fully
refurbished and has all the modern
conveniences.

The finca is made up of two buildings. One being the main
house with three floors,
starting with the third floor,
there is a large master bedroom which includes a king
size bed and a set of bunk
beds. There is also a pullout mattress
with plenty of space.
This one room is capable of sleeping
seven people. It has a
private bath and also includes a
34" telivision which is connected to direct tv. It has
many windows with great views
and wrap around balcony. Off of
this balcony are two sun decks which are great for
private sun bathing. The second
floor consists of a furnished outdoor
deck with a large fireplace, and hammocks for your
relaxation.
This floor also has a
small room with bund beds which
sleeps two and has a full bathroom. The first floor has
two bedrooms. one with a
full sized bed with a single bunk
above. This room sleeps three and comes with a 29" direct
tv. The second room has a
full sized bed with a pullout
single mattress. This room also sleeps three and is
equipped with the same 29"
direct tv, there is a porch that wraps
around these two rooms and also has a full sized bath for
the two rooms to share.

The second building has a large kitchen with dining
area. This building also has two bedrooms, one with bunk
beds
that sleeps two. the other being the bedroom for the
caretaker of the property. The
caretaker is there for your
convenience and will take care of your needs. The kitchen
is fully equipped with
stove, oven, microwave, cofee maker
blender and two refrigerators. The dining area has a
fullsized kitchen table that
sits eight and also has a snack bar
that sits three. While you are dining, open the double
doors for a
incredible view. There is also a
porch that wraps around this building with benches for
your relaxation while taking
in the views.
There is a large heart shaped swimming pool for the day
time when the sun is high
and bright, and a separate ten person
jacuzzi for taking off the chill at night. there is also
a dock for fishing and
swimming in the lake. The property also has
many trails throughout for strolling whit benches for
your relaxation.
The finca is located between two very interesting towns.
one being El Peñol with
it`s produce and
livestock trade. It will take you back in the time with
old horse and wagon type carts
and live stock herded literally at
times in the streets. many people use horses as there
source of transportation.
The other town being Gautape a quaint lakeside village
with it`s strip of
restaurants and merchant venders beside
the lake.this area many giants party boats whit music
and booze, just a great time.
There are three marinas in the area, most offer boat and jet sky rental . For the thirll seeker there is a gondola type ride that straps you in for a gut wrenching ride high over the lake to a distant tower and back again. The return being backwards whigh makes it a bit hairball. This town is very famous in colombia for it`s tourism and is especially during the holidays and long weekends. There is almost always something special going on in the main plaza during these times. whether it is concerts or fire works it is always a good time with lots of partying or "rumba".
The lake it`s self is very large and with it many rivers and inlets that open up into other large portions of lake. There are mabny grat things to see such as old peñol which sits forty feet under water. there is the famous finca of late Pablo Escobar which is still sitting as a burned out shell of whatit once was. There are windsurfing school on the lake as well. Fishing is great here with trout and bass aplenty, and big.
The area has parks with walking trails and stuff for the kids. El peñol is in the midst of creating an historic old peñol on top of a hill between the two towns.
